1. It is
a lot of Eating.
We know this may sound like a rather strange complaint, however for
people who are used to skipping breakfast, and / or lunch and then
making it up with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s™ Chunky Monkey at the
end of the day this type of eating is a real dramatic change.
The Idiot Proof Diet does require that all the meals be eaten, and at
first this may seem like a lot of food consumption, but it seems to be
only related to the first week or two, as most customers were extremely
pleased after they got set into the habit of eating, and most customers
have found a lot of joy in the meals that fit their taste.
2. It Is
Costly
The cost of eating the healthy choices involved in the Idiot Proof
Diet, seems to be an issue among those with a tighter budget, this
seems to be more prevalent among college students.
The diet does in fact require visits to the produce section of the
grocery store and some meats (or vegetarian substitutions) as well as
some restaurant choices such as hamburgers. So some people may find the
cost surprising. This is mainly because unhealthy foods are quite
simply cheaper to make with fillers like High Fructose Corn Syrup, and
Maltodextrin, which are all very cheap sweeteners.
However, when surveyed against other diet choices the Idiot Proof Diet
actually beats
the cost of most popular diets, especially ones that have
their own food brands. All foods used in the Idiot Proof Diet can be
had at regular grocery stores and restaurants (fast food included).
3. I
Gain Weight After The “Cheat Day.”
One of the primary complaints, and an initial cause of discouragement,
is the weight gain following the cheat days during first two weeks of
the diet. The Idiot Proof Diet has mandated into its plan a set of 3
cheat days that are designed to give the body a caloric jump and
provide the mind a period of rest from the other days of dieting.
Most every customer has responded that they enjoy these cheat days, and
the freedom to eat what they want, but most notice a bump in weight
immediately after the cheat days are over. Usually this is in the order
of 2-3 pounds.
Customers have discovered that this weight is primarily due to water
gain from excessive salt and sugar intake during the cheat period and
this weight falls off quickly thereafter, usually within the first day.
In spite of these complaints, the Idiot Proof Diet is still the most
solid and satisfying diet on the market today. For dieters who have
slugged their way through the Atkins plan or got fed up with counting
calories or points, this diets lack of counting and freedom of food
choice can be a real joy, and very rewarding fat loss solution.
